Supported Yacht Charters with IonianMode from 2027

Your sailing qualification is the beginning of your journey. The next step is to put your skills into practice, make your own decisions and build confidence through experience.

From 2027, IonianMode will offer our qualified students the opportunity to charter one of our RYA-coded, fully equipped yachts—with support from our instructors and base team throughout the week.

It’s a chance to enjoy your own sailing adventure while having a familiar team available for advice and assistance.

Build confidence through real sailing

Taking responsibility for a yacht helps turn the skills you learned during training into habits. Planning passages, briefing your crew, handling sails, choosing anchorages and approaching unfamiliar berths all contribute to becoming a more confident skipper.

A charter week gives you time to practise these skills, gain experience and enjoy sailing with your own crew.

Your own adventure, with support throughout the week

You’ll sail independently, with the reassurance of support from the IonianMode team. Our instructors will be available to help you think through sailing questions, while our base team will provide practical and technical support throughout your charter week.

You remain the skipper, making decisions for your yacht and crew, with experienced people available when you need guidance.

A suggested itinerary from your instructors

Our instructors will prepare a suggested plan for your week, helping you make the most of your time on the water. Drawing on their local knowledge, the itinerary will provide a starting point for planning passages, exploring destinations and choosing overnight stops.

You can adapt the plan to the weather, your crew and your confidence as the week develops.
