The Beginner to Skipper two-week course is ideal for those with no previous experience. For those who want to become skippers in two weeks. After the course, you will be able to skipper a yacht in waters with which you are familiar. You will learn pilotage, navigation, seamanship, and boat handling. You will gain skills up to the standard required to skipper a yacht safely with confidence. At the end of the course, your instructor will reward you with the RYA Day Skipper Certificate and the RYA VHF Operator’s License

The Beginner to RYA Day Skipper two-week course includes:

The Beginner to RYA Day Skipper practical and theory course is ideal for those who want to build skills and gain knowledge and experience to be able to skipper a yacht safely with confidence on familiar waters by day. At the end of this course, you will be able to skipper a yacht in short passages and operate a short-range VHF radio with DSC. This course includes the RYA online Essential Navigation and Seamanship theory course – around 10-12 hrs online and the back-to-back RYA Competent Crew and RYA Day Skipper practicals. We will work on yacht handling techniques under sail and power and we will develop together with your skippering skills. During the week you will prepare passage plans, you will navigate, you will organize a night sail and you will be in charge at times to gain experience as a skipper.

Our RYA Recognised Training Centre is based in Lygia / Lefkas. Our Training Yachts are Fully equipped all Of our Instructors are RYA Qualified Yachtmaster Instructors.
