ioniaMode is an RYA-recognized sailing school in Greece based in the Ionian. Our base is on the island of Lefkada at the port of Lygia. Using Lefkada as a starting point we have the chance to explore a lot of the Ionian islands during a practical course. Our fleet consists of four fully equipped training yachts and one fully equipped powerboat. Our classroom in Lygia is also fully equipped where we host all the theory courses. All of our instructors are RYA certified and qualified with many years of experience in training.

Sailing for Beginners: If you are new to sailing and you want to experience sailing then the RYA Competent Crew course is ideal for you. You can join a course as an individual together with other individuals. If you are planning to spend your sailing holidays together with friends or family, you can have a ” private tuition ” on one of our training yachts

Skipper Certification: If you already have some sailing experience and you want to get your skipper’s qualifications: Then the RYA Day Skipper course is ideal for you. You can join a course as an individual together with other individuals. If you are planning to spend your sailing holidays together with friends or family, you can have a ” private tuition ” on one of our training yachts. Before attending your RYA Day Skipper practical course you have to do some theory preparation. Your theory can be done either in a classroom or online. Our training center is a partner of RYA interactive and we can provide you with all the necessary theory online courses before your practical course.

Professional Qualifications: If you are looking for your qualifications to start your career in yachting: Then the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore training is ideal for you. We organize combined courses theory and practical before the assessment. The RYA First Aid Course and the RYA VHF Marine Radio courses which are required before your exam also provided

Powerboat Courses: Get your powerboat qualifications in a two-day RYA Powerboat Level2 course at our base in Lygia. Our instructors will teach you the theory and the boat handling required to drive a powerboat safely
